Skyline Apartment REIT Acquires 23-Property Portfolio in Windsor, ON

On Thursday, September 10th, 2015, the Skyline Apartment REIT acquired a highly-accretive 23-property portfolio in Windsor and Tecumseh, ON. The massive portfolio was purchased for $136.2M from Boardwalk REIT, the largest public residential landlord in Canada. The portfolio consists of buildings in West Windsor, Downtown Windsor, East Windsor and Tecumseh, ON, and totals 1,685 suites. The Skyline Apartment REIT now owns 2,209 apartment suites in Windsor/Tecumseh making it Windsor’s largest landlord. This transaction also makes Windsor the Skyline Apartment REIT’s largest grouping of residential units in a single city.

Skyline also manages several commercial and retail assets in Windsor, within the Skyline Commercial REIT? and Skyline Retail REIT private portfolios. We are very excited to be expanding our holdings in the city of Windsor, and becoming a larger part of a thriving community that is experiencing promising economic development and job growth.

The Skyline Apartment REIT now comprises 169 properties in 46 communities, with a total of 14,134 suites.
